For the best canna infused honey try using locally sourced honey

What do I need to make THC honey?

Making THC honey is relatively easy and requires few items. To make canna infused honey, you will need decarboxylated cannabis (either flower or concentrate), a double boiler and a thermometer to monitor the temperature of your infusion, and a cheesecloth for straining the finished weed honey.

Additionally, you'll also need a couple of glass jars, one for storing your finished product and one for the double broiling. If you plan on making weed honey frequently think about investing in a no-mess honey pourer to help make storing and pouring your honey more convenient. With these ingredients in hand, you're ready to begin making THC honey!

How long will my canna infused honey stay good?

THC honey can last for several months, even up to a year, when stored correctly. To maximize shelf life, the infused honey should be kept in an airtight container at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. It should also be placed in a cool, dry area away from heat sources and moisture. This will help maximize the shelf life of your canna infused honey.

What can weed honey be used for?

THC-infused honey can be used in a variety of ways. It's an incredibly versatile product and can be enjoyed on its own or added to drinks and food for a delicious way to change things up. It also is used in place of sweeteners for your coffee or tea.

Maybe even on some grilled chicken, honey-glazed ham, salmon, or in cheesecake. Weed honey also has many potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation, helping with pain relief, providing relaxation and stress relief, and boosting your immune system.

What's the difference between THC infused honey and honey elixirs?

THC infused honey and honey elixirs containing THC are both cannabis-based products, but there is a big difference between the two. THC infused honey is made by infusing decarboxylated cannabis with regular raw honey, while honey elixirs contain an additional ingredient added to the honey such as infused coconut oil.

Will Weed honey get me high?

The short answer is Yes but an important rule to remember is "You get out what you put in!" So when infusing honey with cannabis, it is important to use cannabis that has a higher THC content in order to get the best results.

Higher levels of THC can help to ensure a more powerful and potent product. Additionally, using higher THC content cannabis means that you will be able to get more out of the infusion in terms of potential health benefits.

Terpenes are important in selecting what strain to use in your canna infused honey recipe

Does it matter what strain to use when making weed honey?

When making cannabis honey, the terpenes can have a significant impact on the flavor and aroma of your finished product. Terpenes are organic compounds found in cannabis plants that give them their distinct aromas and flavors. When using different strains to make weed honey, you'll notice that each strain has its own unique terpene profile which will change the flavor of your final product.

As such, it's important to consider what type of strain you're going to use for your infusion as this will affect not only the potency but also the taste and aroma of your finished THC honey. For this THC honey recipe, I am using the Sour Diesel strain because I want to use the honey in the mornings with my tea.

Cannabis honey sticks

To dose out your weed honey you'll need a couple of things found around the house. A heat sealer or flat iron works well, some straws and a small funnel. Take the heat sealer, or flat iron, and seal one end of the straw. Next, use the funnel and pour the canna infused honey into the open end of the straw to your desired level and then seal the other side. Now you can take your infused honey sticks with you to discreetly enjoy while you're out.

The Ultimate THC Honey Recipe

Ingredients

2 Cups of Honey

1/2 Ounce of Cannabis (14 Grams), Sour Diesel, decarboxylated

Cheesecloth

(2)1 Quart Mason Jars, with lids

Slow Cooker

Thermometer

Instructions

Pour the honey into the mason jar and put the decarbed cannabis in and stir. put the lid on the jar and place it in the slow cooker. fill the slow cooker with water until it reaches just above the level of honey in the jar. Place the lid on the slow cooker and turn it on low, cook for 8 hours, stirring every couple of hours. make sure to open the jar to stir so that any pressure that might have built up can be released.

The temperature of the honey shouldn't reach above 190 degrees F. After eight hours turn off the slow cooker and, while using a heat-resistant glove, remove the honey. Place the cheesecloth over the clean jar opening and strain the warm honey and cannabis mixture.

Squeeze out the cheesecloth to ensure the maximum amount of honey is recovered. Discard the cheesecloth and remaining plant material. Now just allow the honey to cool before placing the lid on the jar, write the date on top, and place it in the refrigerator or in a cool, dark place.
