We are all aware that they no longer perform stand-up comedy because Covid-19 canceled everything in 2020. But I was unaware that they had previously declined gigs. In the late 1960s, Cheech & Chong began performing together in Vancouver.

Well, to start with, Chong is 84 years old, while Cheech Marin, his sidekick, is 76. Backstage at one of their final performances, Marin fell on a wire. He needed to get his knee replaced.

Chong said, "Plus, we can't recall all our lines. Cheech sings the song "Mexican Americans" as part of their performance and says, "Cheech can't remember it.

Chong is content to go to events like the one held in Edison, New Jersey, from September 16 to 18, where he signed autographs, posed for pictures, and even shared a joint with fans—all for a fee. Chong discovered his flight back to Los Angeles had been scheduled at the same time as his performance on the main stage. So frustrating for those who came to hear him speak; there was no interview.

The Cannabis celebration in Edison, NJ, was a resounding success as far as I'm concerned. The venue was first class and so well run, considering this was a Cannabis event. I was treated like a star by everyone but especially the event folks. The next one will be even more successful, and I'm looking forward to becoming a fixture when it comes to attending and enjoying New Jersey hospitality. Let's get high. He said in an interview.
