Yields: 12 Canna Honey Buns Approximate time: 1 Hour 30 minutes

Ingredients: For the buns, you will need:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast

  • 1/4 cup of warm water

  • 1/4 cup of milk

  • 1/4 cup of honey

  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted cannabutter

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

For the glaze, you will need:

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

First, in a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then in a separate bowl, heat the milk, honey, and cannabutter until the butter has melted. Next, in a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt, and then add the yeast mixture, milk mixture, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes and then place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour.

Now you'll want to preheat the oven to 350°F. Stretch the dough out to about an 11"x9" rectangle and cut into 12 one inch and roll into a rope, about 30". flatten out the ropes by patting them down until they are about 3/4" thick. Now just roll each flattened rope into a spiral cinnamon roll shape and place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet spacing them about a 1/2" apart. The centers of the honey buns should be a little higher than the rest of the dough.

Let them rise for an additional 15 minutes then bake the buns for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. While the buns are baking, let's make the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle the glaze over the warm buns and serve.
