At a time when many Oklahoma processors are becoming vocal about serious issues regarding testing for medical marijuana products in the state, the OMMA issued an urgent recall Friday, May 15, for certain Moon Mix, LLC. products.
Stating only that products from Batch 158, which include mints and vape cartridges, have failed required testing, the OMMA notice urged dispensaries who have carried or are currently carrying the impacted products to reach out to patients who had purchased them, in order to help expedite the recall process. Patients who have any products from Batch 158 in their possession should contact the dispensary they purchased it from.
Since January (at least), there has been a growing problem within the Oklahoma cannabis industry regarding illicit or inaccurate testing, and this morning's announcement from the OMMA is a stark reminder that all patients and businesses should be asking questions as to where their medicine came from, and what exactly is in it.
