Law enforcement shut down 7 illegal marijuana shops in Greater Los Angeles, resulting in 17 arrests.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office, along with several other agencies, conducted a raid on seven illegal marijuana dispensaries in Rosamond. The operation, which took place on Sept. 6 at around 7:45 p.m., resulted in the arrests of multiple individuals involved in running these illicit establishments. The search warrants were executed with the assistance of the Kern County High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife/Cannabis Enforcement Program, the California Department of Cannabis Control, and the Kern County Probation Department.


The investigation has led to the shutdown of all seven marijuana dispensaries that were found to be breaking County and State Health and Safety Code laws. Detectives, along with assistance from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA), found these dispensaries selling marijuana and cannabis products illegally.

Following an investigation by Kern County Code Compliance, multiple building code violations were discovered at various locations. As a result of these violations, the businesses have been deemed unsafe for occupation and have been visibly marked by Kern County Code Compliance.



The individuals listed below have been arrested on the charges specified and have been booked into either the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Central Receiving Facility, or the Mojave jail.


Gregory Black, a 54-year-old resident of Rosamond, has been apprehended on multiple charges. These include possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while being armed with a loaded handgun, and several outstanding warrants.

Jennifer Lara, a 36-year-old resident of Mojave, has been apprehended for operating a drug sales location and possessing marijuana with the intention to distribute it. She is also facing charges for conspiring to commit a crime.


Christopher Tunstall, a 27-year-old resident of Lancaster, has been apprehended on multiple charges related to drug offenses. These charges include operating a location for drug sales, possessing marijuana with the intent to sell, and participating in a criminal conspiracy.


Sheri Castellanos, 62, of Bakersfield, was apprehended for running a drug-selling establishment, possessing marijuana with the intention to sell, and participating in a criminal conspiracy.

Philip Silva, a 39-year-old resident of Lancaster, has been apprehended on charges of operating a drug sales establishment, possessing marijuana with the intent to sell, and participating in a criminal conspiracy.


Tyler Pedigo, 33, a Rosamond resident, faces charges for operating a drug sales establishment, possessing marijuana with intent to sell, and conspiring to commit a crime.


Christopher Clark, a 38-year-old resident of Sylmar, has been arrested on multiple charges including maintaining a drug sales location, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Guadalupe Vieyra, 32, of Little Rock, was apprehended for operating a drug distribution hub, marijuana possession with intent to sell, and engaging in criminal conspiracy.


Christopher Sosa, aged 39, has been apprehended in Lancaster on multiple charges. These include maintaining a location for drug sales, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, conspiracy to commit a crime, and there is also an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Iris Castro, a 30-year-old resident of Lancaster, has been arrested. The charges against her include maintaining a location for drug sales, possession of marijuana with the intention to sell, and conspiracy to commit a crime.



Jennifer Castro, a 26-year-old resident of Lancaster, has been apprehended on multiple charges related to drug sales. She faces allegations of maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, and conspiracy to commit a crime

Levan Kekelia, a 47-year-old resident of Mojave, has been apprehended on charges of running a drug sales venue, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute, and conspiring to commit a crime.


Catana Berthiaume, a 31-year-old resident of Lancaster who has recently been apprehended. She has been charged with multiple serious offenses including operating a location for drug transactions, possessing marijuana with the intention to distribute, and being involved in a criminal conspiracy.


Michael Epps, a 28-year-old resident of Mojave, has been apprehended on charges of operating a location for illicit drug transactions, possessing marijuana with the intent to sell, and engaging in a criminal conspiracy.


Marlon Garnett, a 26-year-old resident of Mojave, has been apprehended on charges of running a drug sales operation, possessing marijuana with the intent to sell, and conspiring to commit a crime.


Munster Maayah, a 25-year-old resident of Rosamond, has been apprehended on multiple charges. These include operating a location for drug distribution, being in possession of a controlled substance, and possessing a controlled substance while armed with a loaded handgun.


Jacob Dewater, 36, of Lancaster, in custody for running a drug sales operation, having marijuana for sales, and participating in a criminal conspiracy.
